Two Fork Township Elected Officials Arrested for Sex Crimes

TPL: Apparently another case of elected officials thinking that they are above the law. I wonder if the victims are foster children? I will be following this story and update if.

Two Barryton residents are in jail tonight for multiple sex crime charges.
Mecosta County Sheriff's Office received complaints Tuesday, August 6, about 2 Fork Township officials.  2 sisters reported to a school official that they had been sexually assaulted on multiple occasions since 2009.
Jack Bark Sr., Fork Township Supervisor, was arrested Tuesday on 10 counts of sex crimes. He faces a possible life sentence.
Bark was arraigned Wednesday, August 7, and remains in Mecosta County Jail on a $5 million bond.
Fork Township Clerk, Cathleen Martin, faces a life sentence for 8 counts of sex crimes, and 2 counts of Child Abuse.  She was arrested and arraigned Thursday, and remains in Mecosta County Jail on a $5 million bond.
The investigation is ongoing. Police and Child Protective Services are investigating the possibility of more victims.
9&10 News' Eric Lloyd and photojournalist Mason Flick looked into the charges today and have more details.
